Welcome to the Richmond Hill High School Student Council Web site!

What We Do

RHHS Student Council (or “StuCo” for short) is responsible for hosting a variety of events throughout the school year. These include several school dances—one in autumn and one in spring—as well as a Semi-Formal evening event, a talent show, and numerous spirit days. Since 2008-2009, StuCo also hosts an annual Carnival event in June, which gives students an opportunity to enjoy a day of fun and games outside.

StuCo is also responsible for overseeing club finances and club registrations and events. If you are a club owner, please visit the Clubs page. For any questions regarding clubs at RHHS, please contact the Minister of External Affairs.

Student Council is devoted to improving and maintaining a positive student experience at RHHS. We attempt to organize events that maximize the level of enjoyment for everyone involved, while also allowing as many students to participate as possible. If you have any suggestions or concerns regarding any of StuCo’s activities, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

How to Navigate this Web Site

At the left side of every page, you should see a sidebar that contains links

to pages and sub-categories. Posts are sorted by top-level category (Student Council, Clubs, or School), and by a sub-category which denotes the type of content in the post.

Visit the Student Council page to learn about news regarding StuCo’s activities. Current and upcoming events can be found in the “Events” category, and important announcements (e.g. election results) in the “StuCo News” category.

Club owners should check out posts filed under “News for Club Execs”. Here you will find forms for download, as well as information about future meetings of club presidents.

Sometimes the school and/or school board offer opportunities for students, and the information is passed down to Student Council. For events like this, as well as for other relevant RHHS information such as registration dates, we will make a post in the “School” category.  For info that you don’t want to miss, don’t forget to check this section!
